Vanessa Tait is a journalist and labor activist in Berkeley, California. Her radio
work has appeared on Free Speech Radio News, Workers Independent News Service,
Pacifica Network News, and Bay Area Pacifica station KPFA. She has also written
for a variety of print media, including
New Labor Forum,
Critical Sociology,
the
Boston Phoenix and the
Guardian Newsweekly. She received her
Ph.D in sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and works as
a writer and editor for University Professional and Technical Employees, CWA Local
9119.
