Biography
Brian Tokar Brian Tokar has been an activist, author and a prominent voice for ecological radicalism since the 1970s. He is the author of The Green Alternative, and Earth for Sale, editor of the collection, Redesigning Life?, and a frequent contributor to Z Magazine and many other publications. Brian received a 1999 Project Censored award for his investigative history of Monsanto (published in The Ecologist), is a founding member of Northeast Resistance Against Genetic Engineering, and has been an organizer of the annual "Biodevastation" protests against the biotechnology industry. He has lectured extensively across the U.S., as well as internationally, on ecological movements and politics, and is a faculty member at Vermont's Institute for Social Ecology.
